Sixteen of our athletes were chosen based on performance to represent the Joe Gqabi district at the annual Eastern Cape Championships in Port Elizabeth on the 3rd,4th and 5th of March. Our athletes did very well and the following athletes received medals for their achievements.
On Friday 4 March 2022 the 1st chess team took part in the FHP Chess tournament hosted annually by Fichardt Park High school. It was the first time since 2020 that we were able to participate. The team played in the A-League and played against Grey, Eunice, Grens, Oranje and Sentraal. It was good practice for the players and the team finished 7th in the A-League. Congratulations to Josh Britz who won 4 out of his 5 matches.
